The Tarka Tennis Centre is managed by the Tarka Trust, a non-profit making organisation. The Trust is therefore heavily reliant upon the support of National and Local Organisations and Centre Sponsors to assist with the funding of the many activities and events that are run at the Centre and out in the wider community.

The Centre’s facilities are continually stretched trying to keep up with ever-increasing demand. A planned extension and covering of three clay courts will make us one of the few centres in the country with such a high quality training facility. It is therefore likely that Tarka will become the central training area for players all over the Westcountry.

Tarka is LTA affiliated and currently classed as a ‘Satellite’ club within the LTA structure. It aims to become an High Performance Centre (HPC) of tennis excellence in the future, with a major expansion of our facilities planned to take place over the next
3 years.

Tarka are therefore seeking Tournament Partners to support the Barnstaple Open - Men’s, Ladies and ProCelebrity events, along with Centre Sponsors to help players of all ages and abilities have greater day-to-day access to quality court time, assist in the ongoing facilities development programme and achieve our primary objective of making tennis and sport accessible to all.
